Kate Strickland-Wright, BA (Hons), MA (CW) (Open), is a writer whose work has been described as “powerful and daring” and praised for “exposing injustice” while remaining “engaging and impressive.”

Kate holds a Master’s in Creative Writing with Distinction from The Open University and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of East Anglia. Publishing under pseudonym, she is a devoted advocate for the creative arts and a familiar face at literary festivals, with interviews featured regionally and nationally in magazines and on radio.

Traditionally published, Kate is passionate about helping writers from all backgrounds reach a wider audience, both in creative writing and business communication. She runs regular writers’ workshops, offering guidance, support, and encouragement to help participants develop their craft and engage their readers. As a poet, she actively participates in open mic events and writes across a wide range of subjects.

Kate founded Strickland Write to provide a friendly, accessible, and affordable service for writers of all levels. Drawing on fifteen years of management experience in both the private and third sectors, combined with her academic background, she helps writers achieve clear, purposeful, and impactful results.

With extensive professional experience in strategy, marketing, recruitment, construction, design, charity, and business development, Kate is committed to delivering accessible, professional, and affordable copyediting and editing services. Her writing has been featured in The Liverpool Echo, North West architecture project books, healthcare and GP magazines, food and drink publications, The Prison Times, The Catholic Universe, and more. She has also been interviewed on BBC Radio, Premier Radio, and UCB.
